Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual can cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively, and contribute to their community. It encompasses emotional, psychological, and social well-being. A mentally healthy person is someone who has a positive sense of self, can manage their emotions effectively, has healthy relationships with others, and is able to adapt to change and cope with stressors in a healthy manner. This doesn’t mean that a mentally healthy person never experiences negative emotions or struggles with mental health issues, but rather that they have the resilience and skills to manage these challenges and maintain a sense of balance and well-being in their life.
